Her Excellency Musaka, the longest serving diplomat in the country, was one of several high profile personalities including the South African and Namibian High Commissioner amongst others who took part in competition.
Speaking at the end of the event the Zimbabwean High Commission to Ghana thanked all diplomats who made time to ensure the event was a success and urged all golfers to take it up and make it an annual event.
“I want to thank the Celebrity Golf Club for opening their course to us in spite of the short notice. The golf club ensured we had all these sponsors and we are grateful to them.
“We are planning to bring some French golfers to play in Ghana or Zimbabwe or anywhere in Africa in our aim to promote integration. I want to add that the Dean of diplomatic golf tournament is here to stay.”
The female captain of the celebrity golf club, Madam Pamellah Materdo-Yeboa, also thanked all and sundry who took time off their busy schedule to take part in the event.
“I want to say a big thank you to all who are here and trust me every one has played his or her part in ensuring that this event is a success.
We thank her Excellency Madam Musaka for all the support and not forgetting the sponsors to whom we owe our greatest gratitude.”

In her speech which was read on her behalf, she encouraged the Diplomatic Corps to participate in the annual Golf tournament even after the tour of duty of the Ambassador of Zimbabwe comes to an end.
The following diplomats at the tournament: The Turkish Ambassador, Head of European Union, the Swiss Ambassador, the South Korea Ambassador, Zimbabwean High Commissioner and three Deputies , the Charge D’ Affaires of the US Ambassador, the Deputy High Commissioner for Namibia, the Deputy from the Australian High Commission.
Airtel Ghana, Citi FM, Old Mutual, South Africa Airways, Kenya Airways, Oak Plaza and Primus Advertising sponsored the maiden edition of the Dean of Diplomatic Corps Invitational tournament.
Organisers of the tournament say the event will provide a platform for diplomat, corporate executives as well as its cherished customers to connect, relax and have fun while playing golf.
