The Warriors striker has been enjoying his best season in Europe scoring regularly for his club.
Musona finished the season on 11 goals three less than the joint top goal scorers Algeria’s attacking midfielder Sofiane Hanni, who plays his club football for Mechelen, and French striker Jeremy Perbet, who turns out for Charleroi, but is on loan from Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.
Musona’s goals were key in helping Oostende finish the season on fourth position with 49 points, 15 points adrift of leaders Club Brugge.
They will be involved in the play-offs to determine the champions as well as the teams that will represent the league in European competitions.
The Belgium Pro League enters play-offs after the regular season with the top six team, playing each other twice.
KV Oostende will join Club Brugge, Gent, Anderlech and Zulte-Waregem in the play-offs that will start next month.
Musona has hit top form at the right moment as the Warriors are set to regroup for their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Swaziland, whom they play in back-to-back-clashes later this month.
The Warriors are in second position in Group L although they have the same number of points (four) as Swaziland, who have a better goal aggregate. Malawi and Guinea, also in the group, have one point each from their two games.
Zimbabwe need to win both their matches to enhance their chances of qualifying for the tournament in Gabon for the first time since 2006.
Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa has named a strong squad laced with some Europe-based stars including Czech Republic-based Costa Nhamoinesu.
Everton defender Brendon Galloway and Tendai Darikwa, who turns out for Burnley, had also been named in the squad alongside Colchester United midfielder Macaulley Bonne.
Galloway and Darikwa have reportedly stated they will not be available for the match.
Striker Nyasha Mushekwi has enjoyed a good start in the Chinese League One helping create the two goals that were scored by Mohammed Bangura and Sun Bo to help his side Dalian Yifang collect maximum points against Zhejiang Titeng last week.
Mushekwi was full of energy giving defenders problems and almost got a goal, but was denied by brilliant goalkeeping from a header in the second half.
